One grand opening participant will win a one-year Thrive PlusTM membership for their pet
Thrive Pet Healthcare, a first-of-its-kind veterinary healthcare network with about 400 locations across the U.S., will host a grand opening at their third Frederick hospital on Saturday, April 29 from noon to 4 p.m.
Thrive Pet Healthcare Frederick is located at 7820 Wormans Mill Road in the Clemson Corner shopping center, and provides wellness and preventative care, surgery, vaccines and diagnostic testing services for dogs and cats. The hospital features six exam rooms and is open Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. It joins Thrive Pet Healthcare partner hospitals CARE Veterinary Center and Greenbriar Veterinary Hospital and Luxury Pet Resort in Frederick.
“The population in Frederick is growing, and more people welcomed pets during the pandemic, causing greater demand in the area for top-quality veterinary care,” said Thrive Pet Healthcare Practice Manager Danielle Klein. “We’re pleased to bring our veterinary expertise to the Frederick community to serve the wellness and preventative care needs of all pets.”

The hospital is staffed by central Illinois native Dr. Celeste Skirvin, who completed her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at the University of Illinois. She practiced veterinary medicine for 12 years in the Phoenix, Arizona area before moving to Maryland in 2018. Dr. Skirvin’s professional interests include surgery, dentistry, allergy treatment and pain management.
The grand opening will allow pet owners in the area to meet staff, tour the facility and enter for a chance to win prizes, including a one-year Thrive Plus™ membership for one pet, which can be used at Thrive Pet Healthcare’s Frederick or Germantown hospital, or any participating Thrive Plus location. Winners of the Thrive Plus Membership and other prizes will be contacted via email and do not have to be present to win.
