Years from now, the world will remember 2022 as a turning point in the history of cats.
Tabby’s Place: a Cat Sanctuary is launching a Capital Campaign for Quinn’s Corner, a first-of-its-kind haven for the last felines to be loved: cats infected with feline leukemia virus (FeLV).
Even among cat lovers, these precious cats are largely unknown, unseen, and alone. Infection with FeLV is untreatable and can weaken a cat’s immune system, and the virus is transmissible via casual contact. Very few facilities have the capability and expertise to house these cats in a manner that avoids disease spread while providing a high quality of life. The end result is that these beautiful cats have almost nowhere to turn.
But that’s about to change.
For eighteen years, Tabby’s Place has been the world’s trusted haven for the cats who “no one else wants.” From Beirut to Bayonne, cats from the most hopeless situations come to Tabby’s Place for its one-of-a-kind, cage-free environment; world-class team; and commitment to cherishing Special Needs cats. With an elite 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, Tabby’s Place is recognized globally as a faithful steward of donors’ support. The Ringoes, NJ sanctuary is uniquely equipped to wrap FeLV+ cats in the love they deserve.
Quinn’s Corner at Tabby’s Place will be the world-changing answer to FeLV+ cats’ cries.
Made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous donor, this joyful haven is designed around FeLV+ cats’ needs, and will increase the size of Tabby’s Place from 7,000 to 12,000 square feet. The cats who wandered the world looking for love will find cage-free bliss, matchless medical care, and the dignity and tenderness that every Tabby’s Place cat enjoys.
But there’s still work to be done…and generous support needed.
Tabby’s Place has raised $1.8M (beyond the initial gift), and Quinn’s Corner is nearly constructed. But, caring for FeLV+ cats is a costly endeavor, and Tabby’s Place is counting on supporters to provide a firm foundation for the most vulnerable little ones.
The Capital Campaign for Quinn’s Corner is a singular opportunity for cat lovers to take their place in the history of compassion. The first $200,000 in donations will be matched by benefactors, carrying each gift twice as far for the cats who have lived the loneliest lives.
Donors can make history by donating online at qc.tabbysplace.org, or by mailing a check to Tabby’s Place at 1100 US Highway 202; Ringoes, NJ 08551 (make the check out to “Tabby’s Place,” and write “Quinn’s Corner” in the memo). Beautiful Naming Opportunities are available for donations $10,000 and over; please contact Development Director Angela Hartley at ah@tabbysplace.org if you wish to make a major act of love.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change the world for cats. Every donation to Quinn’s Corner will be a whisper in an FeLV+ cat’s ear: “I see you. I love you. And I believe in the value of your precious life.”
