Ceres, Jupiter and Saturn are three ginger female cats looking for a home together
A trio of ginger cats are looking for a home to call their own before Christmas after being rescued from a multi-cat household.
Sadly, Jupiter, Saturn and Ceres’ owner passed away and these three girls were rescued along with a group of other cats in October.
Jupiter is two-years-old, Saturn is four-years-old and Ceres is a three-year-old cat.
They were all very nervous when they arrived in the care of RSPCA MIllbrook in Surrey and they were a little bit skinny and in need of some TLC. Ceres had bad skin which has now cleared up and Jupiter had runny eyes possibly from cat flu but has also now recovered.
Claire Jones, cattery supervisor at RSPCA Millbrook, said: “This trio of ginger girls are incredibly bonded and so are looking for a home together. We know three is a lot but we are confident the stars will align for this trio and someone out there will happily rehome all of them.
“They are all really sweet and a little bit shy. Their curiosity often gets the better of them though and they will take treats from you once they feel comfortable. They are looking for a home in a quiet area as they have never been outside before and would need a gradual introduction to this, as well as plenty of space in the home so they can do their own thing indoors too.
“Jupiter is definitely the bravest, she likes to sit at her door and watch us most of the day. Ceres and Saturn are more reserved, and Saturn is probably the most nervous still. None of these girls were used to being stroked or handled so their new adopters will need to be aware that this will take time and patience. ”
The three cats, who are named after two planets and an asteroid, could live with secondary school aged children or older and they would prefer to be the only pets. They would like a home away from busy roads or railways so they can start to venture outside too.
Claire added: “We are sure in time they will become more confident with their new owner, as they have in our care, and will be great additions to someone’s family. They really are superstar cats who are truly out of this world!”
If you think you can give Ceres, Jupiter and Saturn a loving home, please contact RSPCA Millbrook on millbrook@rspca.org.uk 0300 123 0740
Neptune, Mars, Venus and Mercury are also looking for their forever homes.
While the festive season may be a time to join together with family and friends, many animals will be waiting patiently to find their new family in an RSPCA rescue centre. It will cost us £4,117 to run an animal centre for one day this winter so we’re asking animal lovers to Join the Rescue this Christmas to make sure animals get the care they need this winter: www.rspca.org.uk/rescuexmas
What precious cats! I hope Ceres, Jupiter, and Saturn find the perfect home for the holidays! They deserve it!
