Archie & The Lawlor Cat Hotel: New Book, a “Pawsome Adventure”, Based on Mischief at Real-World Cat Hotel. It’s Time to Check In!
Jane Lawlor’s ‘Archie & The Lawlor Cat Hotel’ is an hilarious, adventurous and unforgettable children’s book based on the author’s own real-world cat hotel. Lawlor’s beloved Lawlor Cat Hotel has captured the nation’s hearts thorough its appearances on The One Show, This Morning, Access Hollywood and other global media; it’s literally unlike any other place. Now, children are invited to join Archie for a look behind the scenes, as he and his guests host casino nights, go skiing, sailing and plenty of other mischief – all without humans ever finding out! One critic wrote, “If you are looking for a funny, quirky, uplifting, feel good read with adorable, captivating Characters then I can’t recommend reading this Gorgeous Book Enough, especially if you adore Cats and fur babies.”
United Kingdom – Jane Lawlor might just be the world’s most quirky yet creative entrepreneur. Afterall, her Brentwood-based boutique cat hotel has been featured in some of the biggest media outlets around the world.
Lawlor Cat Hotel spoils felines with everything humans are used to – a selection of luxury suites, a restaurant (with a fine dining menu!), a bar and a spa – except everything is reserved only for our whiskered friends.
Such a unique and successful creation of course stirs the minds of children, who Lawlor is now reaching out to directly with her new book, ‘Archie & The Lawlor Cat Hotel’. Young readers can join Archie, the hotel’s resident front of house, for a series of unforgettable adventures and mayhem.
Synopsis:
Congratulations! You have just found the best cat book ever written. I’m Archie and I am a ginger cat and the manager at the most incredible hotel just for cats. I’ve written this book so humans get to meet me and my guests as we get up to all sorts at night including cat rodeo, cat casino night, cat sailing and even skiing. I can’t wait for you to meet my guests and get to know their real personalities, not to mention my team, which includes Dan and Louis the horses and my three faithful hounds Buddy, Dougy and Alfie. Get ready for the read of your life.
“When I started my cat hotel, I knew we had to go beyond the scope of a typical boarding kennel,” explains the author. “In fact, if you remove the cat beds, it looks like any other 5-star boutique hotel. It’s a magical place that caters to cats from all walks of life. It’s the perfect subject for a children’s book. There’s enough silliness and catfoolery to keep readers entertained, and Archie is the most amazing host!”
Continuing, “I give children a very real look at how the cat hotel is run, including all of the fun, challenges and logistical juggles we deal with daily. And of course, when the humans switch out the nightlight, Archie leads the escapades that make our cat hotel the most fun place on the planet!”
Reviews have been extremely positive. DJ Sullivan writes, “This story is one of adventure, mischief, and silly animals. It’s perfect for slightly older children and provides an interesting world they’ve probably imagined; what cats and other animals do when their owner is away. It’s a great read.”
Another reader adds, “5☆ An Uplifting, Pawsome, Purrtastic Read, that had me giggling throughout! Archie and the Lawlor Cat Hotel Is a rip roaring pawsome adventure, that had me captivated and laughing out loud the whole way through. I really hope there is more books to come as i would love to read more about Archie and The Lawlor Cat Hotel!”
