Today we would like to share the highly-anticipated results of the recent Cat Edition of Petcurean’s Uplift the Underdog contest. (Links in this post will only work for US and Canadian readers but we hope everyone else will still enjoy the story)
Petcurean had a few technical issues closing the voting page last month so, in the true spirit of Uplift the Underdog, please join us in congratulating joint winners in the Canada category: Bogart at Pantry Four Paws in Hamilton, Ontario and Ernesto at Annex Cat Rescue in Toronto, Ontario.
Our United States winner is Francine at Sacramento SPCA in Sacramento, California!
All three winners will take home a three year supply of Petcurean food, have their adoption fees paid for, and 2,000 meals donated to their rescue! Additionally, all 12 finalists from this year’s contest will get a one year supply of food, their adoption fees also paid for, and 2,000 meals donated to their rescue.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to all who voted and participated in the Cat Edition of this important contest that brings awareness to otherwise overlooked rescue cats all over the US and Canada who are in desperate need of fur-ever homes.
Photos of all three winners are attached if you’d like to use them to accompany a story on this announcement. If you would like more information on this contest or to arrange an interview with a Petcurean spokesperson, please let me know and I’d be happy to coordinate. Otherwise, in addition to sharing news of our contest winners, we’d greatly appreciate any continued coverage you can provide about the contest webpage, www.uplifttheunderdog.com, to help all the amazing underdog cats out there get adopted and find their deserving furever homes!
Hooray! Francine is from my county– she is an evacuee of the Northern California Wildfires! Our home was spared, but we had to evacuate twice in the past 2 years. (We took our cats with us of course) Francine’s story resonated with me, so I voted for her and so happy to see she won. I hope she finds a great home. 🙂
I know the Annex Cat Rescue, from my city. So happy Ernesto won!
All three are beauties!
