Dr. Cat glanced at his watch. “I have to cut our appointment short today.”
“Why?” I inquired.
He straightened his tie. “I’m going on a ghost hunt tonight.”
“No way! Where?’
“In the basement. I’ve found evidence that we have a ghost in the house,” he replied.
I started to sweat. “There is? What does it look like?”
“It resembles a little red dot. It keep disappearing when I try to pounce at it,” he growled.
I held back a chuckle. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that it was my son’s laser pointer.
