Renegade: I Look Good with Purple!

Hi everyone,

It’s me Rennie here today! And as you might be able to tell from the feature image I’ve got a new outfit! It’s a harness from www.equi-stitch.co.uk! 😮

Now some of you are probably thinking but why would a cat need a harness… well us indoor cats aren’t allowed out on our own and on top of that me and my sister Freya do accompany our humans at some events such as Catfest earlier in the year. And it’s simply no fun if we can’t go for a stroll around the event and its many gifts for us cats right?

Rennie: Of course I wasn’t too impressed at first… but don’t worry if you use a harness for the first time with your cats they will probably show the same reaction but soon they will realise that it’s just as easy to walk with it as it is without. 😀

Rennie: And since I’ve had harnesses before it certainly didn’t take me long to start getting curious again. 😉

Rennie: You may notice it’s a bit loose at the moment that’s because when getting your cat used to the new harness in the house it’s best to not put it on as snug as you would for a stroll around the park. 😉

Rennie: And there I was off to explore our kingdom wit hthe new harness. 😀

Rennie: See, fellow felines out there! It’s easy to get used to your new harness! Also the harnesses by Equi-Stich are especially well made! The straps go around the back rather than the belly like most of the cheap ones you can get in the pet shop. This makes it so much easier for us and the humans! And while they are adjustable the company asks for chest and neck measurements to ensure that they are custom fit to your cats size. 🙂

Rennie: Now where has my sister been in all of this?!?

Freya: I am observing… making sure that it’ll be all safe for me. 😉 Plus I used the catputer to find the email address for our fellow felines to get in touch with Equi-Stitch – simply email Ellise – ellise@equi-stitch.co.uk who made these for us and ensured they are a purrfect fit for our catventures!

Rennie: So what’s the benefit of training your cat to use a harness (Make sure you follow these important tips by Anita)? Well, it enables your humans to provide safe outdoor access to us felines and let’s face it a bit of fresh air and grass under our paws once in a while is nice! Many vets now recommend starting training early as it gives means for indoor cats to get some excercise.

Freya: And there are already many cats out there that have mastered the use of harnesses such as our friend Purrseidon (who also happens to like water!) and our Canadian cat friends that got for super long walks.

Renegade: Ok… I am all exhausted now… It’s time for a rest and both my sister and I shall be back with these in a future cat show post. 😉

No doubt he would look gorgeous in any color. However, I think black would show off that beautiful fur even more.

I think one of my cats was an outdoors type in his previous ownership (or non ownership, since I found him at the shelter). I think he’d enjoy one of these.

It can be a little tricky to get them used to it at first but once they realise it means outdoors time they love it! 🙂
