Hello everyone!
This your favourite cuddly travel cat Tabatha! Kat and I spent quite some time in the UAE during 2016/17 (see our previous post!) It is my pleasure to share with you all ten facts about Dubai that this small ball of fluff finds completely amazing!
-
The UAE is located on the South East coast of the Persian Gulf and Dubai is the most populated city!
-
Dubai is approximately 52 feet above sea level.
-
The currency of the UAE is called the ‘Dirham’.
-
The UAE is made up of 7 emirates (similar to states/counties). The emirates are: Ajman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Ras-al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm-al-Quwain.
-
Did you know? China is Dubai’s biggest trading partner!
-
Dubai is located in a stable zone when it comes to earthquakes and tsunamis! This is because the Persian Gulf water is not deep enough to trigger a tsunami, so you are safe from these natural disasters! Phew!
-
Dubai lies directly within the Arabian Desert. Sun all year round!
-
The Burj Khalifa is the worlds tallest building and stands at 2,722 feet tall! Wow!!
-
Dubai is also known as the ‘City of Gold’. (Shiny!)
-
As Dubai is a desert, it has no natural rivers!
I hope you enjoyed my Dubai Facts 🙂 This small kitty would like to thank you all for your continued support, it is much appreciated.

A pair of my two legger friends lived in Dubai for some time. They adopted two street cats who are now living the high life traveling the globe. They’ve moved around in the UAE and are now in China. Maybe you’ll meet them in your travels!
