2017 ‘Street Cats’ photography competition winning image – photographed by Tulyawat Mahawong from Thailand
“This photograph was taken at a railway community in Bangkok, Thailand where life can be dangerous for young cats like this. In this community there are lots of cats and kittens because people can’t afford to neuter them. I am volunteer at PAWS Bangkok and I print my stray cat images to raise funds to neuter these cats and find homes for them.”
This picture reached all of the judges at an emotional level – technically proficient and a strong portrait of life on the street for a young cat.
Tulyawat’s winning image features in the 2018 Street Cats Calendar which will be sold to raise funds for International Cat Care’s cat welfare work.
