2017 ‘Street Cats’ photography competition winning image – photographed by Chi Keung Wong from Hong Kong
“This picture was taken in Central, one of the most interesting parts of Hong Kong. The topography of the area is very steep with many steps. Most stray cats live in the corners of these streets and the people who live nearby will often feed them.”
The judges loved the strong leading line from the street cat to the street art and the connection between the two captured by the photographer.
Chi’s winning image features in the 2018 Street Cats Calendar which will be sold to raise funds for International Cat Care’s cat welfare work.
