Hi everyone,
Today’s guest post comes from Citra:
Hi everyone,
We are a family of cat lovers from Singapore! Unfortunately, at the moment we don’t have a cat. Like most people in Singapore, we live in a high rise building with very limited space.
We all know life is not complete without a cat, so thank goodness for The Cat Museum! It’s a place where cat-less cat lovers can spend some time enjoying the company of cats… lots of cats!
Located in a quiet street close to Bugis MRT (underground) station, in the heart of Singapore, the museum is very easy to find.
From the outside, the museum looks quite unassuming. Just a door sandwiched between two cafes. You have to go up the stairs to get to the reception. You can buy the tickets there. The admission fee is very reasonable, only SGD 9, and free for children below 6.
The museum has three levels. The first level is where you can enjoy a collection of art, craft and photos…. featuring cats, of course. You can find a few cats too there. You are welcome to pet and play with them.
The second level is where you can find adoptable cats and kittens. The Cat Museum is also a cat shelter. They have an army of volunteers who’d go around Singapore to rescue cats from the streets. There are adult and elderly cats there, but most of the rescue cats are kittens. All of the kittens stay in a room called Kitten Kindergarten. Just a word of warning… but you’ve probably known this… you’d want to stay in Kitten Kindergarten forever! When we went to The Cat Museum a few weeks ago, we spent hours playing with the cuties in the Kitten Kindergarten. We didn’t really want to leave….
The third level is where you can meet The Cat Museum’s nine resident cats. They are all very beautiful cats. All cats in The Cat Museum are beautiful. Well, all cats are beautiful. Don’t you think so?
Okay, so if you happen to be in Singapore and are missing your cats back home, just go to The Cat Museum!

Awww that’s so sad you can’t have a cat .? I’m glad you have a museum with kittens and cats to visit. Take care from California USA?
We are in Canada now and just moved to a new house… Once everything is settled, we are going to adopt a cat! Yay!
Thank you on behalf of our guest author!
I’m definitely sending Mum there on her next trip to Singapore!
She’ll love it!
🙂
What a fantastic museum! 😀 It sounds a wonderful place to visit for cat lovers.
It’s great that it’s a cat shelter too, and people can adopt from here.
I totally agree with Citra, all cats are gorgeous! 😀
Thank you <3
🙂 indeed
What a great find. I had no clue. That is great that they have a museum like this.
Last summer our museum had an exhibit with cats, but much more restrictive with its access to the live cats themselves. This is a marvelous museum indeed, and I do hope you will be able to adopt one or two (two is always better) of their adoptable cats. Meantime, give all those babies hugs and kisses from this cat lady in the U.S.! >^..^<
We are going to be able to adopt soon… maybe one cat first, and then we’ll see 🙂
Oh let us know if you do or if you’d like to do any other guest post on cats. 🙂
Will let you know 🙂 Thanks, Marc-André!

Thank you Citra for a great post. Your photography really shows what a great job they did setting up the museum. Singapore has a lot to attract visitors but this is special for us cat lovers. Glad there is a place for you to go for cat time.
Thank you!
