This time, a little bit of genetic instead of pure adventure!
The tortie and calico (tricolor cats) are always females, while the red cats are mostly males. Why? Everything is in the gene of the red. The gene of the red (“Orange”, O) is sex-linked and is found exclusively on the sex chromosome X. Also the gene has a second peculiarity: unlike what happens for the other genes, O is not dominant on o.
So, Lily is a little living legend 😉
Meaow, see you with the next strip!

Cute, but cats can’t see reds – only greens and blues.
Very nice!
