Although technology has brought us many impressive developments that have even taken us to the moon and back, such innovations surely pale in comparison with the latest tech that’s been developed for our furry friends!
So from weird and wonderful iPad games that can keep felines occupied, to even some online slots games featuring moggy motifs to ensure that cat-owners don’t get bored, here’s how our tech is getting a lot furrier in 2016.
The introduction of cat-based software for tablets such as iPads has meant it’s now easier than ever to provide your pet with some of their own video games. The cat food brand Purina have introduced their own cat apps that feature games such as Cat Fishing and Happy Wings. These games simulate the real-life movements of many favoured feline targets – so don’t be surprised if your tablet gets a bashing!
Such is the human obsession with cats that there’s also been a massive range of cat-based video games to keep cat-owners entertained too. The cult game Neko Atsume has definitely cemented Japan’s reputation as one of the most kitty-friendly countries in the world. Some of these feature in this online slots collection, such as Alley Cats, at the Betway site and can be played on your smartphone whilst your cat is busy tapping your tablet!
And when even the cat charity Cat’s Protection unveil their own cat puzzle game for iOS and Android devices, it’s clear that our tech world has gone a little cat crazy. There’s even been the surprising rise of cat celebrities such as Grumpy Cat who has become a massive internet hit thanks to his sour-faced exploits that have made him the star of an array of smartphone apps.
But the rise of cat tech makes sense as an increasing number of our pets are living in urban areas, and as such, many will face the future of being an indoor pet. Thankfully with a bit of imagination and the use of the RSPB bird songs app, you can pique their interest in the outside world without them having to face the troubling concerns of traffic and other neighbourhood cats.
And if you’re looking to help your cat let off steam, then using a laser pen is a fun way to give them something to focus their innate hunting skills on. Just be sure not to shine it into their eyes, and don’t let them chase it for more than one continuous minute as cats can quickly tire themselves out!
So from the latest in iPad games for cats, to cat-based slots games for humans, it’s clear that the tech world has gone more than a little cat-crazy!
Yes, Thanks Marc. Now have a few light scratches on my iPad from a feline chasing birds and months, but no problem. I think she has already become a happy wings fan.
:o! Oh no!!! That wasn’t my intention :X. I always let my two play on my iPad and not had any scratches on it 🙁
no worry, it was OK. They probably make them with cat scratchproof glass these days to be on the safe side.
Possibly! I’m now going to stick a protector on my screen before giving it to the two mischievous kitties next time though LOL
Well now I’ve seen it all. That’s 2 iPads I’ll have to buy for them , but they’ll have to wait until Christmas.
Haha xD. Just make sure you put a screen protector on
I love watching cats chase laser pens, it’s hilarious. Although not as funny as watching them get scared at cucumbers…check out YouTube if you haven’t already seen the evidence!
I’ve seen the cucumber cat thingy. Still trying to figure out why they hate them so much oO
My cats like Ant Smasher or the ripple screen effect for when they are feeling a little more zen….
😀 Oliver’s favourite game is Settlers. Many little humans to squash LOL
I must download it instantly! Thank you!
Haha xD it’s actually meant to be a game for us humans but he has taken a real liking to it. I guess the little settlers look like ants 😉
Oh boy…I love me some laser pens!
Have a great Wednesday…
Noodle and crew
🙂 thank you and have a great rest of the week.
Absolutely not! Diavolo is not getting an iPad! He can find some other way to be entertained.
Very interesting. Cheaper for me my cats are committed Ludites. They ignore the fishbowl video I put on for them and won’t even watch the cursor when I make it move around like a bug. Electronics are strictly for sitting on – nice and warm.
XD. Oli loves sitting on warm electronics too. But he is far too entertained by movements on screens lol
I love Grumpy cat.
🙂
I can’t get my cats to play with these apps as much as I try… They sure love watching some fast fither pilot video games on the big screen though! They can sit and watch me play for hours like it’s the most entertaining thing possible. I love my fur babies
It’s funny how every cat likes a “different” game. 😉
Oli usually helps me on the big screen as he tries to seek and destroy enemies lol. Luckily he doesn’t use his claws for that!!!
Asia uses her claws when she gets super riled up but Kuzco rarely ever pulls his out; mostly just on the scratching post
Oliver has the problem that his claws get to long and they will stick out even if he is meaning to retract them 😡
Wow I had no idea they were so many apps for cats. I let my cat watch a youtube channel called TV BINI which has cat entertainment videos but I really like the idea of the interactive games and perhaps this will keep her from sitting on my laptop ( wishful thinking haha) x
Sitting on laptops is a mandatory task for all cats xD. How else are they going to take over the world – secretly reprogramming your PC 😉
It’s so amazing ! I showed Cat Fishing to my cat and she adores it ! <3
Nice article btw
🙂 thank you ^^ and glad it worked with yours 😀
She got bored after 5 minutes but it worked haha
Ah so typical cats xD
Reblogged this on Rattiesforeverworldpresscom.
Funnily enough, we got a cat fishing game about 8-10 months back. Yes only played with it once! xD
Meanwhile, Neko Atsume continues to dominate many of my friends’ lists of favorite games.
*Tess (not Yes! Autocorrect is very annoying.)
I hate auto correct xD
Ah it’s funny how cats either like or totally ignore something :o!
And yes Neko Atsume is still dominating most of my friends phones too. ^^
Did you try OCTA? Crazy hard but fun and addictive game.
Oh? No i haven’t!
