I’m not really Dr.Catsby , but I want to show you and tell you about Dr. Catsby today. Dr. Catsby is a great company that makes unique cat bowls that help with stress. Did you know we can have whisker stress? Well it is very true. Dr. Catsby is a medical expert renowned in the field of Whiskerology.
Dr. Catsby bowl has a unique design to help with Whisker stress. If you don’t know what Whisker stress is I’ll share what I know about it.
When our whiskers are forced into close contact with the sides of our bowls,
it can get extremely painful. And that’s why we don’t always finish our food.
Not necessarily because it’s the wrong food… but because it’s the wrong bowl.
This bowl has a great design stainless steel bowl that is wide and shallow and easy to clean. It also comes with a mat so the bowl stays in place while your cat dines. I sure love this bowl ! I even eat better when mom puts my food in this dish than any other dish I have.
How do you know if your cat is being bothered by whisker stress? The common signs are:
- pulling food out of the bowl and onto the floor (Linus is a master of this, both with wet and dry food!)
- pawing at the food
- becoming aggressive to other cats at mealtime
- not eating
Thank you for stopping by and I hope I could help you understand us cats better we have all kinds of different stress we deal with.

Well I I ever knew that! Thanks for the info, we’ll be sure to check this out!
My pleasure. I love this cat dish and Angel eats better in this one over all.
I may have to try! !!
That’s great!
Oh cat, whiskers stress, that is a new thing, have to check our cat when he is eating. Thank you, must be terrible to have whiskers stress.
It is very stressful and Angel eats better in this cat food dish.
And I though Jamima was the Master of pulling her food out of the bowl. She scoops it out like a Pro them hoovers up most of it……
That is amazing what they do and sounds like this cat dish might help Jamima
I didn’t know this Angel’s eyes. Sunshine is a hairy cat and he often takes his food to eat on the carpet and also often doesn’t finish his food. I thought he got full but it was actually whiskers distress.
I loved your post. Is it ok to give him a Whisker’s cut ?
Susie
Oh you shouldn’t cut his whiskers they are used to guide him or her in the dark or getting into a small space letting them know if they can fit in small spaces.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I did read this once and started buying more shallow bowls to keep Yodi from making a mess, some work and some do not. This is perfect and I have ordered!?
Fantastic!
Good to hear about the great Catsby.
Thank you ^^ and sorry for some reason wp had marked your comment as spam! 🙁
Marc
No problem! That happens to my posts a lot for some reason. I guess WordPress has me marked down as a bad influence. 🙂
Weird! I really don’t like the spam filter at times haha xD
Thank you for such good information! I didn’t know about whisker stress, but it makes sense! I did have a look at ordering, but it was too expensive to ship over to the UK.
Thank you Denise

Never heard of this but I know their whiskers are very sensitive. I noticed my cat likes larger shallow dishes. That must be why.
They are very sensitive it helps them in the dark to feel.
Another beautiful demonstration Angel’s Eyes. ?
Thank you
such a sweet kitty! <3
Thank you
Wow I never knew about whisker stress. You have a particularly pretty bow today :).
Thank you. It’s true about the whiskers stress.
You are such a cutie. We have a bowl like that and we love it.
That’s wonderful and thank you

Oh, now I understand! That’s such a great idea. Angel’s Eye, you look such a glamorpuss in the first photo…what do you charge per sitting? Of course, you have some competition from that gorgeous black thing in the bottom pic, which is a darling view. 😀
Thank you. I do charge my sittings. Lots and lots of treats.
