Hi everyone,
Today we have a kind of unusual post for you! We received some really cute cat shaped thin bread slices.
The Cat shapes are available in packages of 6 from most major supermarkets in the UK and retail at £1.28 per pack. 🙂
My colleagues at work all got to try them and two of them kindly agreed to pose with a pack of the Cat shapes! 😀
We ended up decorating them such as shown below:
Of course if you need further inspiration have a look at the slide-show below showing of some of the other ideas for the bread from Warburtons!
We certainly think these are great fun for children and adults alike and will make lunch and dinner much more entertaining. 😀
For those of you not in the UK make sure to pick up a pack if you ever pass through on a holiday!
Thanks,
Marc
I think the marketers had another brilliant idea! I do like eating cat heads in various incarnations–cookies or biscuits in particular. I have a Hello Kitty toaster that burns the Hello Kitty face into my toast. I could cut my bread slices to look like a cat–American ingenuity!
That hello kitty toaster sounds like fun 😀
I must look to see if these are available on my side of the Atlantic.
I hope so 🙂
If not, purrhaps I can find a cookie cutter and make some.
Oh that sounds like a fun thing to do!
I can see something like this replacing gingerbread men 😉
LOL. Maybe 🙂
Wake up people!!! Do you really think it’s great to have entertainment instead of good nutrition for lunch???
And yes, I am crazy about cats but I’m not buying this cr&$@p!
Somebody got out of the wrong side of bed this morning ..
No, i haven’t… I am just fed up with ‘food producers’ giving us gimmicks instead of nutrition.
There might have been a better way of saying it. Sorry!
You sounded so grim, lighten up a bit. These people are just selling bread. They do not claim it is the new superfood that makes you more intelligent, fights cancer, dementia, gives you a shiny coat and strong claws – uhm – nails – it just is bread and does not claim it is any better than any other bread – just funnier to look at. We say over here: You eat with the eyes, too.
It wasn’t my intention to say these are nutritional over other things… I just thought they are cute! Though I have to say that they surely have to be better than a gigantic thick doorstep slice of bread as they are thinner so there is LESS of them.
I’ll see if I can find a healthy fun cat themed snack for my next lunch break. 😉
I know, and they are cute. Didn’t mean to rain on the parade! 😉
Haha don’t worry. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I do think we all need to share these. At the end of the day nothing would ever change if we didn’t open our mouths 😉
They are incredible – where did you get them?
ASDA! But sainsburys, Tesco and so on do have them too. 😀
Ah going tonight so that works – thanks
😀 where about in the UK are you? I live in southeast London. 🙂
Just outside Milton Keynes
Oh! I just passed through Milton Keynes on my way back from the international cat care annual conference. 🙂
oooh could you write a piece on that for us?
Of course I will. 🙂 keep an eye out for it. ^^. There are a few posts about the charity on my blog already if you look for international cat care. They are awesome people. 😀
Agreed! send it to me at Caroline@everythingmeow.com and we will make a huge buzz around it – especially on the facebook page
Will do :). I’ll send you what I’ve posted about them so far. ^^
Thanks
oops completely forgot to send you those!!!
No problem 🙂
I set myself a reminder now xD

Love all the cute decorating ideas! 🙂
Thanks ^^ and certainly might make children eat devil veggie stuff if on top of them 😉
I like these! Unfortunately, I don’t live in the UK. WAHHH!!
On your next holiday demand them for breakfast in the hotel haha XD
So cute, but I wouldn’t want to eat them!
Haha that is true! I just like looking at them too 🙂
We don’t have those over here (yet) in the U.S. but I do love cat-shaped chocolates 🙂
Parker
In Germany we do chocolate called cat tongues. It’s chocolate in the shape of tongues in packs with cute kitten on… Weird to anyone outside of Germany? YES! Lol
I have had those, from local German specialty shops. My known family was from Germany, so we kinda get into that sort of thing. 🙂
Ah! Normally when I tell people about the chocolates they go “right… Sounds… Weird!” Lol. Where about in Germany was your family from? 🙂 I’m from a place called Hannover before I moved to the UK hehe
