Hi everyone,
As part of our cat cafe visit series we also went to a cat cafe in Ueno called Neko Maru.
This cafe was smaller than some of the others that we have been too but all the cats have been adopted from rescue places and picked up as strays so they certainly earned bonus points for that! 😀 Not to mention that they also help re-home cats!
When we first came in we were greeted by this cute sleeping kitty on their large scratch tree.
You can tell how relaxed and secure the local residents feel in here… 🙂
The cafe also had many japanese Manga to choose from should you prefer to read a book while waiting on one of the locals to jump on you!!!
I am sure Mochi (Mochi is a generally white bashed rice sweet which is why they must have chosen the name for this cutie) must have been trained to immediately jump on laps of unsuspecting tourists considering the longer you stay the more you pay in this cafe haha. 😉
Of course this little white one was very cute until the suckling began. LOL
He seems to have thought that we were his mummy. :O Certainly sweet and adorable but slightly drenched T-shirt guaranteed! LOL
The WALL OF FAME! All of their local residents and ex-residents were listed on there to help tourists identify who they are seeing. 🙂
If you’d like to visit this cafe here are a few tips:
It is literally next to to Ueno station so you can combine it with a visit to Ueno Park and Zoo or Ameyeko (A shopping street filled with everything and anything but a lot of it being inspired by american culture
We hope you enjoyed Part 1 and we will make sure to show you more of their cute cats soon! 🙂
P.S: Please subscribe to our Newsletter. 😀
Thanks,
Marc

We recently lived in Yanaka for six months, wish I’d known this was so nearby!

Thank you ^^
Mochi is adorable!
We were joking that we should have taken him home because he is very much like Nubia just her opposite colour haha
Indeed! 🙂
You probably haven’t gotten the extra tuna yet from the last time I said you offended Nubia. 🙂
Nope… Lol but in sure Nubia would have loved this lil guy. Someone to keep oli in check for her while she can sleep. 😉
Love the whole thing!
Thanks ^^

So adorable!! 🙂
Thanks 🙂
Awww sweet Mochi, likely separated from mama too soon. My heart hope Mochi gets adopted very soon. My sister and I rescued a ginger boy last summer, strolled into her garage injured and basically said “I’m here” lol. He does that to my sister, so sweet
Awwwww glad your sister rescued that little one. 🙂
