My cat loved catnip even when she lost her sense of smell around age 18….I thought ALL cats loved it. I had no idea that some cats don’t care about it. Very good stuff! And very informative post. Thanks for sharing with the cat lovers!

Diavolo loves his “nip”. He demands it daily. Lili also loved it but her mom Nissana could have cared less. Actually I think Nissana was concerned about acting silly and was very embarrassed if I caught her actually playing.
I have grown cat mint on my patio….which may be why I don’t have the mosquito problem my neighbors seem to have.
Catnip plants are the best until nubsey eats them alive LOL
We have two cats, the one loves catnip and goes all silly. The other ignores it completely.

My Taffy (the Terrible) of glorious memory, loved his nip. He used to breakdance. He would put his head down in the corner of the room, flip his butt up and slide down to the floor, then do it again. I miss that reaction, as much as my present cats love a nip jag…

This is really coool! I’ve always wondered about catnip. My cat has never really been affected by it until recently and she is about 6-7 years old now. Mysteries.

It’s funny but most of our boy cats have gone mental for catnip and yet the girls have either not been bothered or it’s made them vey angry.
Nubia prefers valerian toys but still goes mad for cat nip! Oli prefers catnip. But when each cat is different. 🙂
